| Manufacturers I remember from my modelling days in the 1950´s and 1960´s . In the subpages linked below are listed individual kits I remember to have had or built as well as kits , which I came across and learned to like while seaching for kits of this modelling period. |
Naturally that all deals with all classes of aircraft which embraces missiles and rockets for me, too.
In my early days of modelling ships had an almost equal fascination as aeroplanes, and in case of kits that does not have changed today. So besides aircraft and msisiles you will find reviewed here some ships, too.
Wheras, for me, ships justify to be included to some extent in an aviation enthusiast´s kit collector page, civil and military vehicles do not.

Though I did have some civil and military vehicles in my early days of modelling, they are out of scope of my interest today, if not to say in case of military vehicles that I dislike them.
With one exception: A glimpse at American cars with "fins" which I found in the 1959 Revell catalogue, which had a very important meaning to me, as I will explain in the next chapter. Especially the two concept cars are examples of the futuristic atmoshere of the 50´s technology.
